A cybercrime chief in the Manhattan District Attorney’s office is joining Baker & McKenzie, reuniting with former DA Cyrus Vance, as part of the firm’s efforts to expand its cybersecurity practice.

Elizabeth Roper, who was the Manhattan DA’s Office cybercrime and identify theft bureau chief, joined the firm as a partner, the firm said Wednesday. She had been at the Manhattan DA’s office for over 15 years, the last four of which she was the cybercrime bureau chief. She comes about six months after the firm added Vance, now chair of the firm’s cybersecurity practice.
