The Massachusetts Attorney General’s Office has reached a settlement agreement with a nursing home that it alleged failed to “implement basic infection control procedures” at the pandemic’s start, causing at least one person to die, and that now will no longer own, operate or manage a nursing home in the state.

Under the agreement, the nursing home, Sea View, and its owner, Stephen Comley II, must also pay the state a total of $175,000, in addition to not owning or running a long-term care or assisted living facility again, according to an announcement made by Attorney General Maura Healey.
