BOSTON, MA—Boston law firm Sherin and Lodgen LLP announces that attorneys Dustyn Marie Mascia and John B. Shinn presented on the Massachusetts Continuing Legal Education (MCLE) webinar, “Third-Party Legal Opinions in Commercial Transactions,” on November 7th. Mascia and Shinn provided insight and guidance to lawyers who are engaged in receiving and delivering third-party legal opinions.
Mascia is Of Counsel in the firm’s Real Estate Department and is a member of its Commercial Finance Group. Her experience includes drafting and negotiation of loan and credit documents, interest rate swap documentation, participation agreements, and intercreditor and subordination agreements. Mascia represents financial institutions and other lenders in commercial and industrial, asset-based, commercial real estate, affordable housing, renewable energy loan and credit transactions. She is skilled in assisting clients in structuring finance transactions, and reviewing, analyzing, and advising clients regarding due diligence.
As an Of Counsel in the firm’s Business Law Department, Shinn focuses his corporate practice in the areas of entity formation, mergers and acquisitions, succession planning, capitalization, intellectual property and governmental licensing (ABCC and TTB liquor licenses). His clients span across a wide range of industries including sports & entertainment, SaaS, hospitality, fitness and fashion. His representative matters have involved acquisitions/dispositions and business negotiations for: professional sports teams (soccer) and organizations (MMA); eSports teams; mobile software apps; restaurants (franchises and original concepts); breweries and distilleries; fitness centers; firearms; apparel lines; celebrities and media personalities; and film, television, and streaming projects (scripted and non-scripted) for talent and production companies. In addition, Shinn is an MLBPA Certified Player Agent representing professional baseball players.
