Four law schools that the Council of the Section of Legal Education and Admissions to the Bar of the American Bar Association concluded were not in compliance with ABA standards are now deemed back in compliance.
At its November meeting, the Council determined that three schools were out of compliance for bar passage rate (Standard 316)—Ave Maria School of Law, the University of the District of Columbia David A. Clarke School of Law and Vermont Law School, according to their Dec. 13 notices—and the Maurice A. Deane School of Law at Hofstra University was out of compliance with Standard 206(b), with respect to diversity of full-time and adjunct/part-time faculty, according to the Dec. 14 ABA notice.
